Late last night, while watching Iron Man 2 and sipping a glass of chardonnay, we received an e-mail from a grandmother who was looking for a few neat items for her grand-daughter. She asked to come to our shop and take a look at our items. After a few e-mails, she was penciled in for a Sunday early afternoon appointment.
When she arrived this afternoon, after a quick glance at our items, her first question was," Can I find these items around here?" My husband answered," The babylegs and Baby Gap sleepwear sets, you can find them here. All the others items are different from the stuff you can find here!" She replied with a big smile, "Great! This is exactly what I am looking for... stuff I can't find here at all... one-of-a-kind for my grand-daughter!"
My husband and I were super excited about her comment! One huge re-assurance that we are actually on the right track. When I was on maternity leave, I spent numerous hours online (while the little one was napping / sleeping!) looking for cute outfits which I can't find in a baby clothing store here. I remember going to an afternoon playdate where two babies had the exact same outfits on! That's how I started shopping for clothes for Miss B on line... I ended up getting clothes flown in from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and China!
When the grandmother left our shop, she had a huge smile on her face. She asked that we give her a call when our new shipment arrives this week... as she wants to get a few more items for her precious grand-daughter!
